courses
We deliver a range of programmes for those people who are registered unemployed and actively seeking employment. We can help to identify and maximise skills, tailor specific training to meet employers’ needs and match people to local employers to effectively meet everyone’s needs. We do this by working closely with local employers across Cheshire and pride ourselves on the level of commitment our staff give to our customers.

Backing Young Britain

Backing Young Britain is an exciting and FREE opportunity for businesses and individuals. It’s already got the support of hundreds of businesses across the UK and thousands of individuals have already registered to participate. Now we’d like you to be a part of it too.

A government funded initiative, Backing Young Britain is a voluntary work placement programme for talented 18 – 24 year olds who are struggling to get a foothold in the current jobs market. They’re the country’s greatest untapped resource – and while they’re not in the workplace, UK businesses are missing out on all their enthusiasm, ideas and creativity.

So we’re looking for companies that can offer internships – and put some of our talent to the test. Not only does each young person get a real insight into the working world and a great chance to develop their skills; the business also gets the benefit of their efforts for up to 13 weeks at a time. Participation is totally FREE – a business does not pay a placement fee or a wage. They will however, make a big difference to at least one young jobseeker in the community. It’s a win: win situation.

Your business benefits:
But let’s not forget, the benefits work both ways. An internship could offer valuable assistance with short term projects or assist a business’s busiest teams. Plus, if a business has any forthcoming vacancies, they get the chance to assess a potential applicant in-situ, working alongside the existing staff – which is a great way to see whether an individual has the practical skills a business needs.

Our programmes are flexible because we work in partnership with employers and other organisations who can provide the working environment and the exact training you require to successfully achieve a qualification, whilst giving you the support needed throughout the time on programme. Our support is valuable in ensuring the soft skill and jobsearch elements are effectively developed and maintained at the same time.
